Kaif R. Bagsiraj Shahid R. Narwade Khalid S. Pirjade Avesahemad S. N. Husainy <p>In this review paper it is discussed about how an IoT can be implemented in the refrigeration and air conditioning to save the energy at different climatic problem. We will be discussing about the knowledge of sensor, actuators, and other objects which are connected to Internet and application of IoT. While using IoT in the application it will sense the different parameter like temperature, voltage etc. and maintain the feasible condition in order to save the human time. Now-a-days industries are also using IoT to get the better results. The use of IoT is implemented in industry as well as for household purpose. In this paper, the brief description about the application of IoT in different climatic conditions and how it is beneficial for the human comfort and also how it can reduce the wastage of energy.</p> 2021-11-05T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2021 Asian Review of Mechanical Engineering A Review on Recent Techniques for Food Preservation 2021-12-02T10:07:18+00:00 Rushikesh S. Kokane Chintamani R. Upadhye Avesahemad S. N. Husainy <p>Food preservation is most significant in the food industry to prevent food from the growth of bacteria and yeasts which causes spoilage of food. And also for the safety and reliability of food product, the freezing plays important role in the food industries. Modern industries has introduced many innovative food preservation freezing technologies which are explained in this review paper such freezing technologies are cryogenic freezing, air blast freezing, super-chilling, high pressure freezing and also alternate freezing processes such as ultrasound assisted freezing and electrically and magnetically assisted freezing. This freezing techniques are most commonly used to preserve the food for long period in safe manner. In this food freezing process the food is cooled from ambient temperature to chilling temperature and then stored between temperature of -18 oCand -35 oC to slow down the microbiological, physicaland chemical factorswhich are responsible for spoilage and deterioration in foods. This paper aims to accelerate the developmentand implementation of these freezing technologies by the food sector to achieve better quality and shelf life of food products.</p> 2021-11-05T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2021 Asian Review of Mechanical Engineering The Major Mechanisms for Efficient Hybrid Energy Harvesting: Overview and Recent Developments 2022-05-10T05:09:45+00:00 Stanley Obilikpa Uche Onochie Chinyere Nweze Chinomso Nwoziri Bright Kalu Ken-Basil Anazodo Chima Nweke <p>Devastating environmental issues and the cost of replacement of batteries in autonomous low-powered electrical, electronic, and mechatronic systems, the interest in ambient energy harvesting has witnessed steady growth recently. The maximization and utilization of these eco-friendly energies have given rise to efficient hybrid energy harvesting, which involves the combination of two or more standalone energy harvesting mechanisms such as Vibrational, thermoelectric, pyroelectric, photovoltaic, etc. The comparison of the recent development, applications, and challenges of the major standalone and hybrid harvesting mechanisms in both large and small-scale mechanisms are the main emphasis of this article. Also, this review holistically discussed the latest optimal techniques utilized in hybrid energy harvesting mechanisms for the effective performance of systems and to guarantee stable power to autonomous electronics and wireless sensor networks. The study will help research scholars to understand and focus on the high-potential techniques to achieve maximum power from hybrid harvesters.</p> 2021-11-05T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2021 Asian Review of Mechanical Engineering Carbon Nanomaterials for Tailored Biomedical Applications 2022-05-01T20:12:46+00:00 Chinedum Mgbemena Chika Mgbemena <p>Carbon Fibre (CF) and Carbon Nanotube (CNT) are typical Carbon nanomaterials that possess unique features which make them particularly attractive for biomedical applications. This paper is a review of the Carbon Fibre (CF) and Carbon Nanotube (CNT) for biomedical applications. In this paper, we describe their properties and tailored biomedical applications. The most recent state of the art in the biomedical application of CFs and CNTs were reviewed.</p> 2021-11-05T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2021 Asian Review of Mechanical Engineering Gender Perception on Flexi and Virtual Time and Work Life Balance 2022-05-03T06:33:35+00:00 Jyoti Jaya Madhu Arora <p>The research is aimed&nbsp;to study&nbsp;perception of males and females regarding Flexi time and work-lifebalance. The research is descriptive in nature and data is collected from 380 working professionals using questionnaire on google forms (including males and females).&nbsp;T test is used to know the empirical results. It is found that Although flexi work arrangements are important for reducing attrition rate but along with that a strong policy is also required to cope up with the challenges faced in the workplace.&nbsp;</p> 2021-11-05T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2021 Asian Review of Mechanical Engineering Reinforcing Research in Higher Education for Quality Enhancement in Industry and Educational Institution 2022-05-10T04:28:52+00:00 S. Devaraju S. Jawahar A. Harishchander <p>Higher Education is one way to acquire more knowledge and skills. This knowledge and skills are influenced by the students or employees learning to work with more ability in the industry for excellence rather than the survival. The Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) are working highly dynamic state all over the world. Most universities and autonomous institutions are reframing their curriculum and syllabus based on the industry requirements. The higher education institution should focus on quality of teaching through various teaching aids. This teaching aid helps the students to understand the concepts very clearly and it is possible to apply their knowledge at the industry environment. The industry also focuses on role ready engineers, though the institution and industry are working closely to produce the role read engineers. It is possible to improve the quality of the higher education teaching with research collaboration between the institution and industries. Industry always looks at the research areas based on the student or employee perception. The research is only the way to get more innovative ideas and new thoughts to produce the better quality education. Although it is necessary to retain an effective teaching through research at the institution and Industry environment.</p> 2021-11-05T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2021 Asian Review of Mechanical Engineering Knowledge Management in Higher Education Institutions: A Framework to Improve Collaboration 2022-05-10T05:12:06+00:00 Abhishek Mehta <p>The reason for this paper is to introduce a system that increments information sharing and cooperation in Higher Education Institutions. The paper talks about the idea of information the board in advanced education establishments, introducing a systematization of information practices and apparatuses to connecting individuals (understudies, instructors, analysts, secretariat staff, outer elements) and advancing the information sharing across a few critical cycles and administrations in an advanced education organization, for example, the examination processes, growing experiences, understudy and graduated class administrations, managerial administrations and cycles, and key preparation and the executives. The structure purposed in this paper intends to further develop information practices and cycles which work with a climate and a culture of information cooperation, sharing and disclosure that ought to describe an establishment of advanced education.</p> 2021-11-05T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2021 Asian Review of Mechanical Engineering
