Nowadays availability of Information over the internet is massive. To make maximum use of these information and to avoid disturbance while pointing the relevant information, the user should have search skills that include being familiar with search techniques. The use of search techniques and strategies aims at helping the user retrieve relevant and required quality information. In this paper, information search strategies and search techniques, importance of search preparation and the application of search techniques are discussed.
